This rigorous filter is augmented by Irevna's thorough and selective recruitment process, using spreadsheet-based exercises to test finance and accounting knowledge, case studies to test analytical ability and structured thinking, and open-ended interview conversations to understand work ethic and fit.
Training is imparted through a mix of apprenticeship and formal programs. Our formal learning programs are hands-on, with a strong emphasis on interactive group learning through exercises and illustrations rather than lecture-style presentations. New recruits go through a modular 14-day training program, which tackle areas from information search techniques to spreadsheet and valuation skills to a module on how to write commercially powerful research. A two-month rotation program then follows, where the recruit works across different projects in the firm, before being assigned to, say, a dedicated client role. Once on a dedicated role as an associate, there is continuous learning through apprenticeship, working closely with the client team.
